Day 3

Hey everyone, I'm still here!!! I just wanted to take quick minute and thank God for keeping me longer here on this plant. I still sit in the ICU location(only because there are no rooms in the wing I am supposed to be in) at the City of Hope (which just happens to be fantastic) and will probably by removed tomorrow. Hallie took a great picture of me and Hunter but no one gets to see it. Only because we left the cord at home! I should go home on Sunday if things continue to go as planned. I thank everyone for checking on me and praying for me. I look forward to getting back to something important. I don't know what that important thing is but I look forward to getting back to it (ha ha).

Hi Eric and Family

My name is Randy Martin and I am the president of the Central Coast Chapter of Firefighters for Christ.

I can think of no better scripture to share with you than this. It comes from Isaiah 40:29-31

He gives POWER to those who are tired and worn out; he offers strenght to the weak. Even youths will become exhausted, and young men will give up. But those who wait on the Lord WILL find new strength. They WILL fly high on wings like eagles. They WILL run and not grow weary. They WILL walk and not faint.

Eric,
Stay srong and keep the faith. Let the GREAT physician do what he does best. Let me know if there is anything that I can do for you or your family (besides praying which I am already doing)Take care my friend.
Lord Bless!

Eric you are such a strong soul.I went through only a fraction of what you have been through with cancer and I have to admit I was not nearly as positive as you. When it comes to facing challenges you are my hero.

Well I was so happy to hear you made it through this 5th ordeal. I can't say enough about how proud I am of you Eric and the strength you show every day. You are quite the hero and All Star in my book. In fact all of you out there can help with nominating Eric for the A&W 2008 All Star by going to

http://www.amw.com/allstar/2009/nomination_form.cfm

Every vote counts! Eric I know you are a humble man but don't be mad at me. I want to do this for you as you have committed a majority of your life helping others. It's time our Country recognizes you.

Take care and get well so we can go to Charolette.

I've read your blogs a few times and I was moved by your spirit. I had cancer as child and underwent treatment for about 6 years. Like the earlier comment states, I too went only thru a portion of what you are enduring and I am so glad you are doing better. Take care :)
