Day 1 Surgery # 5

Well thank goodness today is almost over what a long day!!!! Eric went into surgery at 12pm and the Dr. came out a few short....long hours later around 4:30pm. He said that he removed almost all of the tumor and did the best he could without compromising Eric. Unfortunately as we have stated before there is never a chance that all the cancer will be gone. So we pray for a speedy recovery and that the tumors will not make an appearance anytime soon. As for Eric's current condition he seems to be doing well, alert and responsive. He is still a little confused about names, dates and locations but that is to be expected. He is stable and progressing in the right direction. The Dr. said that we will probably get to stay at the hospital for the weekend....so a little vacation for us with room service. I will continue to keep everyone posted on his progress for the next several days.

Please pray for the following:
  • Strength for our family
  • speedy recovery
  • positive results from the chemo
  • that the tumors stay away
  • that Eric will continue to be strong and have a positive attitude

Love and God Bless,

Hallie

I am glad to hear that the first day went well. You are such a strong family, you will get over the "curb"! :-) I will continue to pray for strength, and that you are surrounded by love and God's strength. You are all in my thoughts. Eric is strong and will have a speedy recovery :-)
